Getting To Lanzarote

Lanzarote is located in the Canary Islands.  You can catch flights to Lanzarote with Jet2 and the flight is approximately 4 hours flights from London Stansted. Jet2Holidays have a range of holiday packages that include flights and hotel so you can book everything in one place.

7 Things To Do In Lanzarote

Lanzarote is a beautiful island and has many things to do. Here are nine things to do I would recommend on your holiday to Lanzarote:

1. Visit El Golfo

El Golfo is a seaside village on the South-west coast of Lanzarote, located next to an amazing volcano with a green lagoon.

2. Explore Timanfaya National Park

Timanfaya National Park  in Lanzarote is a Spanish national park in the southwestern part of the island of Lanzarote. The park is made up of volcanos and volcanic soil and is an amazing place to view. You can also go on a bus tour around the national park which is a great way to see the park. There is also a restaurant onsite called El Diablo.

3. Visit Cueva de los Verdes

Cueva de los Verdes in Lanzarote is a volcanic tube that can be visited by tourists with a guided tour that takes approximately 1 hour. It is a must see in Lanzarote and I highly recommend.

4. Visit Jameos del Agua

Jameos del Agua is a unique volcanic tunnel & cave that also has a  concert hall, restaurant & salt lake.

5. Go wine tasting at Bodega Stratvs

Boega Stratvs is a winery and restaurant located in La Geria, the vine growing area of the island.

6. Chill at Famara Beach

Famara beach is located in the northwest of the island of Lanzarote. It has beautiful golden sand that stretches over five kilometres.

7. Visit the MIAC – International Museum of Contemporary Art

Miac – the International Museum of Contemporary Art located in Castillo de San José. It is located at the top of a cliff in the Arrecife Bay, the ancient fortress was converted into a gallery of contemporary art.

6 Restaurants To Try in Lanzarote

1. El Diablo located in Timanfaya National Park

2. Kentia Gourmet Club  located in Puerto del Carmen

3, Jameos del Agua Restaurant located in Punta Mujeres

4. Hesperides Restaurant -located in Teguise

5. Castillo de San Jose Restaurant located in Arrecife Bay

6. El Bocadito  located in Costa Teguise

Where To Stay in Lanzarote

I spent 3 nights at the Barcelo Lanzarote Royal Level with Jet2Holidays. It is a 4* luxury hotel located in Costa Teguise, one of the most popular areas on the island and is a great area to base your stay. The hotel is the perfect place for relaxation while being in a great location to a lot of the tourist spots.

I stayed in the Royal Level area of the hotel which allows Royal Level guests access to more areas in the hotel which I think is well worth it! If you are looking for luxury holidays then this is hotel is for you.

I hope this helps you to plan what to do, where to eat and where to stay in Lanzarote which you can find on Jet2Holidays.
